55-acre university in Squamish listed for sale for its development potential



The sprawling campus of Quest University in Squamish has been listed for sale, largely for its development potential value, as a way for the financially struggling post-secondary institution to survive under a mountain of debt.

In February of 2020 Quest University filed for creditor protection. They were granted an extension of the protections earlier in August, which will last to December. 

However, these financial problems existed beforehand of COVID-19, where many businesses over the world have suffered major financial loss. And with the uprising of COVID-19, it only made things worse for this university. 

The property is quite big, it is a total of 55 acres and is located at 3200 University Boulevard. BC Assessments landed its assessed value at $60.5 million, with $13.1 million responsible for the land, and the remaining $47.4 million for the structures.
